Adenine sulphate

Adenine sulphate (AdS) is a plant cell culture additive that’s used to promote shoot growth and development in tissue culture:

• Reduces leaf abscission and shoot tip necrosis: AdS can reduce leaf abscission and shoot tip necrosis (STN) in plant tissue culture.
• Improves shoot bud regeneration: AdS can improve shoot bud regeneration and growth pattern.
• Induces multiple shoots: AdS can be used to induce multiple shoots in plants like Bacopa monnieri, Carissa carandas, and C. ternatea.
• Acts as a nitrogen booster: AdS acts as a booster source of nitrogen to cells, which can be consumed spontaneously.
• Improves frequency of multiple shoot production: AdS can improve the frequency of multiple shoot production in culture media.
• Recovers chlorotic symptoms: AdS can recover the chlorotic symptoms of the leaves.
