6-BAP

Benzylaminopurine (BAP) solution is a plant growth regulator commonly used in plant tissue culture applications to promote cell division and shoot proliferation.

How it’s used

• BAP is added to plant growth media like Murashige and Skoog medium, Gamborg’s medium, and Chu’s N6 medium
• It’s often used in combination with an auxin like Indole-3-acetic acid (IAA), Napthaleneacetic acid (NAA), or Indole-3-butyric acid (IBA)
• BAP can be used to stimulate seed germination
• BAP can be used to extend the shelf life of flowers and cut greens
